Recently, U.S. and European medical specialists in the field of cosmetic surgery came together to hold one of the first U.S. special training sessions about Injection-Lipolysis. It represents a controversially discussed novelty for the treatment of undesired fat deposits.

"Injection-lipolysis is not a method for general weight loss; it is rather another instrument in the hands of the surgeon who sculpts body areas", says Dr. Overstreet. "This treatment has a lot of potential for abuse....I would strongly urge patients to find board certified physicians who are members of the International Society of Lipolysistherapy (ISL)."

Dr. Overstreet is a member of the International Society of Lipolysistherapy, and has completed training and is certified in the use of this therapy.
